ILC calls for submission of Good Practices on youth access to land!
ILC is looking for good practices from members and partners on youth access to land to be published on our Database of good practices. ILC youth are doing amazing work and are leading the fight for a more just and equitable world. We would like to expand our collective knowledge on youth access to land. Many organisations promote policies, programmes and projects to support youth access to land by:
- creating employment
- facilitating intergenerational land transfer
- empowering youth to access commons and participate in their management, and to preserve and manage local ecosystems.
Youth are increasingly important stakeholders in the land sector as mentioned in IFAD’s 2019 Rural Development Report. This is a good time to share your competencies and experiences with the network, and offer ILC platforms an opportunity to learn from your processes, methodologies and tools. ILC members and partners can learn, share and be inspired by the experience and the achievements of their peers.
For this reason, we have a rich Database of Good Practices, composed of 140 good practices featuring in ILC’s Learning Hub. The good practices in the Database provide concrete examples and guidance to ILC members and partners on how to achieve each of ILC commitments. They also inform workshops, learning events, or learning exchanges and advocacy campaigns; and design processes for new projects and programmes of ILC and members.
Who can participate and how?
All ILC members and partners can participate by sharing their good practices on youth access to land.
Send a document for each good practice (i.e. a specific process, a methodology, a tool) that has generated positive change in youth access to land.
Please send your inputs using the outlines below, available in French, English and Spanish to l.arevalorobles@landcoalition.org.
For assistance, please email to b.nxumalo@landcoalition.org.
Multiple submissions by one member/one group of members are possible.
We look forward to receiving your good practices and sharing them with the entire membership on our Database!
