Combatting desertification
By 2030, combat desertification, restore degraded land and soil, including land affected by desertification, drought and floods, and strive to achieve a land degradation-neutral world. If more countries reported on land degradation we could finally start reversing the impact of climate change.
Why report on land targets?
In 2019, the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification acknowledged for the first time, the importance of responsible land governance in preventing land degradation. That is why reporting on SDG 15.3 is so important for the land rights community.
