Wageningen University is accepting applications from ILC members on a rolling basis to host Master students. Students are self-funded and will carry out research on land governance related issues identified by the host. The research will be carried out remotely, unless circumstances change.
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: ROLLING BASIS
RESEARCH PERIOD: 4-6 MONTHS
In the framework of a partnership between ILC and LANDac (the Netherlands Land Academy), Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is accepting applications from ILC members interested to host self-funded Master students to do research work and write their thesis.
WHO CAN APPLY ?
The call is open to all members and ILC platforms. Students will evaluate host proposals on the basis of their research interest.
WHAT WILL THE STUDENT DO ?
The main focus of this internship is on research : students will collect and analyse data on a topic agreed with the host. They may contribute to the day-to-day operation of the host, as long as this doesn’t hinder research progress.
WHEN CAN THE INTERNSHIP START?
WUR is accepting applications on a rolling basis. The host and the student agree on the time required to complete the research, and a starting date.
WHAT IS THE RESEARCH ABOUT ?
The host proposes a research topic relevant to the work of the member or the platform. If students express an interest, the host, the student and the supervisor agree on a research agenda. The research should have both academic rigour and social/policy relevance. Students are encouraged to present preliminary findings before they end their internship and send a copy of their final thesis to the host. They may also write a short article for the host’s newsletter, annual report, blogs, etc.

- Proposed topic (title and description)
- Prerequisites (e.g language requirements)
