Governments and development actors increasingly recognize that strengthening tenure can create powerful incentives for the sustainable use of forest resources and contribute to achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement on climate change. Based on the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests (the VGGT) principles, this course is designed to help learners understand and apply key principles for strengthening tenure.
